What We Do
At The Souza Foundation, we are dedicated to helping women and children escape domestic violence and begin a new chapter of safety, healing, and independence.
We are currently in the early stages of creating a safe haven for survivors — a place where they can heal without fear and rebuild their lives with dignity. Our vision includes:
Safe Housing: Tiny homes where survivors and their children can live free from abuse.
Therapy & Support: Access to counseling, group therapy, and wellness programs designed for trauma recovery.
Life Skills & Education: Workshops and resources to help survivors become self-sufficient and confident in their future.
Community Connection: A supportive network to help women feel empowered and never alone.
Every step we take is guided by our belief that healing is possible and hope can be rebuilt. Together, with our supporters, partners, and volunteers, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future—one survivor at a time.
Our Mission
The Souza Foundation’s mission is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for women and children escaping domestic violence. We are in the early stages of building a healing community that will provide secure housing, trauma-informed therapy, life skills training, and resources to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and independence.
“I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” – Maya Angelou
What We Plan to Achieve
At The Souza Foundation, our vision is to break the cycle of abuse by creating a safe and supportive community where survivors of domestic violence can rebuild their lives. In the coming years, we aim to:
Open a Safe Housing Community – Provide tiny homes and transitional housing for women and children escaping abuse.
Offer Trauma-Informed Therapy – Deliver individual counseling, group therapy, and wellness retreats to promote emotional healing.
Provide Life Skills & Job Training – Equip survivors with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and stability.
Create a Support Network – Foster a community where survivors feel understood, empowered, and never alone.
Advocate for Change – Raise awareness and work toward systemic solutions to protect and support survivors nationwide.
We believe every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to build a new future. Together, we can make this vision a reality.
