Where Survivors Rise, Reclaim, and Restore their lives
What makes the Souza Foundation truly special is…
Our holistic approach combines traditional advocacy services with innovative healing modalities. Adults living in our tiny home community have the opportunity to participate in farm activities, should they choose, in exchange for an hourly stipend.
Being out in the fresh air and sunshine encourages healing after abuse. Eating healthy meals made with produce harvested from the farm promotes good nutrition. We also offer other out-of-the-box activities like yoga, meditation, art therapy, and journaling to stretch and develop body, mind, and spirit.
Our tiny home model provides survivors with private, dignified housing that honors their autonomy while offering comprehensive wraparound services that address the complex needs arising from domestic violence trauma. We believe domestic violence is a community issue, and everyone has the right to live in a safe, violence-free home and community.
